Shipping Policies

What shipping methods do you offer?

  • Standard: 3-5 business days ($8 shipping charge, or free if your total order is over $200)
  • Second Day Air: 2 business days ($19 shipping charge)
  • Overnight: 1 business day ($39 shipping charge)

We are a small but mighty team, and orders typically take 2 business days to process before they are shipped. During peak seasons or promotional periods, order processing times may be extended. You’ll get a shipment notification email with a tracking number as soon as your package ships.

Orders with expedited shipping are shipped the same day if placed before 12 PM CST Monday through Friday, or otherwise the following business day. Please note that expedited orders placed over the weekend or on US holidays will not ship until the next business day.

Where is my order?

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a confirmation email containing tracking information. You can use this information to track the status and location of your package.

Where do you ship?

We currently ship to the US. We hope to bring Recess to more countries soon—stay tuned!

Can I change the shipping address on my order?

If you notice that your shipping address is incorrect, please log in to your account to cancel your order before it has been fulfilled. If your order has already been fulfilled, it may be too late to cancel the order, but please reach out to hello@clubrecess.com for assistance.

My order was lost, stolen, or damaged. Can you help?

Occasionally a carrier will mark a package as delivered early, so we recommend keeping an eye out for your order for the next 48 hours. We also suggest checking all surrounding areas and/or entrances to your home to check that your package is not hiding or jammed, and asking your neighbors if they may have received it for you by mistake.

If your package is lost or stolen after being marked as delivered or is damaged during transit, Recess offers a replacement order free of charge or your original order value in store credit. Please email hello@clubrecess.com to start the process.

While we strive to ensure smooth and timely delivery, unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, natural disasters, or shipping carrier delays may affect delivery times. Please email us at hello@clubrecess.com for any other delivery questions, issues, or concerns.

ORDERS

There is a problem with my order. Can I cancel it?

We are sorry to hear that! Please log in to your account to cancel your order before it has shipped. Once your order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled, but our flexible returns policy can help you find an alternate solution. Please reach out to hello@clubrecess.com for assistance.

Where can I find my order number?

You can find your order number in the subject line of your order confirmation email, shipping confirmation email, or delivered confirmation email.

What if I received the wrong item, or an item is missing?

Just email us at hello@clubrecess.com. We’ll get you the right items as quickly as we can.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, and Apple Pay.

RETURNS + EXCHANGES

What is your return policy?

At Recess, we are committed to customer satisfaction. If you're disappointed with your purchase, or find our products defective in any way, please see the guidelines below for returns.

Return Eligibility

  • Merchandise purchased online at clubrecess.com can be returned within 30 days of the order ship date to receive a full refund, store credit, or exchange for a new color or size. Orders placed between November 18th and December 15th can be returned until January 5th.
  • Returns must be initiated via our return portal. Items returned without first initiating the return process will not be accepted.
  • All items must be returned in the condition in which they were received, with all original tags, packaging, and accessories. For products that were damaged after they were received, please see our warranty policy.
  • Products listed as "Final Sale" are not eligible for return or exchange.
  • Returns that do not meet our policy will not be accepted and will be sent back to you.
  • Returns may be subject to a restocking fee.

Original shipping fees are non-refundable.

How do I place a return or exchange?

The best way is to use our online returns & exchanges portal, where you can create your shipping label and track the progress.

Here's how:

  1. Submit a return request through our return portal using your order number and email address linked to the online order.
  2. Complete the steps online to answer your reason for returning and return outcome (full refund, exchange, or store credit).
  3. Once your return request has been submitted, download and print the prepaid return label to ship back your item(s).
  4. Affix the label to the original package and ship it back to us within 7 days of initiating the return. Returns that are not shipped back within 7 days will be cancelled.

Recess does not store items mistakenly sent to us through our return process. If you accidentally sent the wrong item to our returns center, send us a note at hello@clubrecess.com as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee your item will be found or returned, and are unable to provide compensation for items sent to us incorrectly.

How long does it take to receive a refund?

  • If you request a full refund for your returned items, once we have received your return package we will issue a refund within 5 business days. You will be notified via email once the process is complete.
  • During the holiday season, there may be a delay in return processing. Returns for orders placed between November 10th and December 31st will be processed by January 15th.
  • Refunds will be applied to the form of payment used for the original purchase, minus the shipping cost for the original order and a $6 handling fee to cover the cost of return shipping and restocking.

How do exchanges work?

  • Recess offers color and size exchanges for products of the same style and value. Pre-built gift sets are not eligible for exchange.
  • If you would like to exchange a product for a new color or size, follow the steps above to initiate a return and choose the "exchange" option.
  • Once your return package is in transit (as marked by your carrier), your exchange order will be shipped out within 2 business days.
  • If you exchange an item and are still not satisfied with the product, you can return the item again for store credit. Items that have already been exchanged cannot be returned for a refund.

How does store credit work?

  • You have the option to receive store credit for your returned items which can be applied to a new order at clubrecess.com.
  • Returns for store credit do not incur a handling fee, but the shipping cost for the original order will not be credited.

Can I return or exchange a gift?

  • Items received as gifts can be exchanged for a new color/size or returned for store credit. Pre-built gift sets are not eligible for exchange.
  • To initiate a gift return, use this link, or select "Start Gift Return Here" on the Recess return portal.
  • Enter the order number from the packing slip and email address used to place the order. If you don't have this information, select "Don't have your order information?" and someone from our customer service team will assist you with initiating a return after you provide more details about your gift.
CLUB RECESS MEMBERSHIP

Do I need an account to join Club Recess rewards?

Yes, you'll need a Club Recess account to earn and redeem rewards. Creating one is free and takes less than a minute.

How do I become a member?

Simply create an account at clubrecess.com. All members start at the Starter tier.

Is there a fee to join?

Nope. Starter is free for everyone. Varsity and Captain tiers are unlocked automatically based on your annual spend — no upgrades to purchase.

How do I move up a tier?

Tiers are based on how much you spend in a calendar year. Hit $250 and you're Varsity. Hit $500 and you're Captain. It's that simple.

When does my tier reset?

Tiers reset annually. We'll give you a heads up before your reset date so there are no surprises.

What kind of rewards can I earn?

Rewards for Club Recess membership include but are not limited to:

  • Cashback: Earn up to 10% cashback on every order over $50, depending on your tier.
  • Referrals: Refer a friend to get rewarded when they spend $50 or more using your discount code.
  • Birthday Gifts: Receive a gift code during your birthday month for up to $20 off, depending on your tier.

Can I cancel my membership?

You can close your account at any time through your account settings. Note that any unused cashback or rewards will be forfeited upon cancellation.
